ABOUT TRI-STATE JAZZ SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP
MEMBERSHIP YEAR
Memberships
run from July 1 to June 30, but new members who join between March 1
and June 30 of any year will have their memberships extended until June
30 of the following year. The
new membership policy went into effect July 1, 2010.
SAVINGS FOR CURRENT MEMBERS With
half-price
admissions,
regular
membership provides a saving of $10 after just three concerts (dues
plus admission
charges), compared to last year's rates. Each person will save $5 more
for
every additonal concert.
SAVINGS
FOR
NEW
MEMBERS
Non-members attending
their
first Tri-State Jazz Society concert will be admitted
for half-price ($10). When they return for another concert,
they will be charged full-price admission unless they become members.
But there’s a special incentive for new members. By joining at any
concert, they will be admitted to that concert free.
For the same $20 a non-member would pay for a concert admission, he or
she can get a full
year’s membership and free admission
to
that
concert.
Savings with a new membership after three concerts will be $20 per
person,
then $10 more per person for every additional concert, compared to non-member rates.
SUPPORTERS
Members
who
are unable to attend concerts may renew as supporters. This
new class of membership is available at $15. Supporters do not get
discounts on concert admissions but, like regular members, they can
continue to receive a mailed copy of each issue of The Strutter.
Members
who have moved out of the area or have medical or travel limitations
may wish to take advantage of this membership class. If supporters
attend a concert they will be asked to pay full price or to convert to
a regular membership.
SPONSORS
AND PATRONS
Tri-State
Jazz
Society
depends on the generous contributions of members because
regular membership dues and concert admission charges do not cover all
costs. The board asks members to
consider
renewing their memberships at the Sponsor or Patron level if they
are able
to do so. These new
classes of membership are described on the Contributions page.
